Laura and Brett’s Worsley Marriott Wedding

Laura and Brett 071

Laura and Brett have to be one of the most organised couples I have ever worked with! Everything about their special day was planned to precision, and apart from one small hiccup, everything went wonderfully. Laura and Brett got married at Salford Cathedral, I have never shot a wedding in a Cathedral before, but I kew it was going to be something special. The atmosphere was wonderful and the light in there was a dream. Laura and her bridesmaids looked stunning thanks to her hair and make-up team from Pouting in Peep-Toes. The ceremony was gorgeous and it was lovely to be able to make use of the gardens outside for photographs as the weather was just perfect. Brett and Laura made their way to the Worsley Marriott where they were greeted by Stephen their toastmaster for the day who made sure that the day flowed beautifully whilst we whisked Laura and Brett off for their portraits. It was such a fabulous day, but I have to say, one of my favourite parts was the Best Men’s speech, I haven’t laughed that hard in ages. Thanks for such a lovely day guys!

Donna and Damien’s Manchester Monastery Wedding

We are so lucky to get to work with so many lovely couples and their families, and Donna and Damien’s family were no exception! From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel like part of their big day which was just lovely! Donna and the rest of the ladies spent the morning of the wedding being pampered at Urban Angels in Didsbury before heading back to Donna’s parent’s house to put on her stunning wedding dress. After I had photographed the girls looking their very best, I headed to the church to meet the Groom and his Best Men and Ushers. They were in fine form and looking oh so smart as they greeted friends and family at their local church before the ceremony. Donna arrived in style in one of Horgans classic cars and she just glowed with happiness! The wedding ceremony was beautiful and filled with love, the perfect way to start married life together. After the ceremony everyone headed to the spectacular Manchester Monastery for the reception. Donna and Damien had a bit of time alone with me to have their portraits taken against the breathtaking backdrop whilst their guests enjoyed drinks. The gasps from the guests and the looks on their faces when they entered the wedding breakfast room were wonderful and it just shows how beautiful and awe inspiring a place the Monastery is. Donna and Damien finished their day by dancing away to an amazing live band with all their friends and family. It was wonderful to be part of such a special day!

Harriet and Peter’s e-shoot

Harriet and Peter blog 050

On Friday evening I did two e-shoots, and weather wise they could not have been more different. When I left the Manchester shoot it was wet, dark and cold. By the time I arrived to meet Harriet, Peter and their gorgeous choc labrador Daisy it was glorious sunshine! Harriet and Peter are getting married at the end of July but wanted to enjoy their e-shoot before the wedding plans got too hectic. We all had a lovely stroll around Lymm Dam and Daisy was only too happy to pose for photos along with Harriet and Peter. Dont’ forget to leave a comment below voting for your favourite picture, Harriet and Peter will receive a print of the most popular image!

Cat and Marty’s Welsh Wedding

It’s not very often that we get to go to a wedding ceremony as special as Cat and Marty’s. The Canon who officiated the beautiful ceremony was no other than the Bride’s Grandfather, and it was made double special by the fact that he also officiated Cat’s mother and father’s ceremony in the same spot many years earlier. Cat’s wedding was so beautifully styled in vibrant shades of pink and even the smallest detail had been carefully considered from the bespoke gown by Chadwicks and Co containing lace from Cat’s Mums wedding dress, to the cherry blossom trees that lined the aisle of the church. Cat and Marty’s wedding was truly stunning and it was so lovely to spend time with them and their families capturing the special moments of the day.

Gill and Mark’s Belle Epoque Wedding

Gill and Mark’s wedding was quite simply the happiest occasion I have ever had the joy of photographing…. even through the tears in the speeches, the smiles shone through! Gill looked incredible thanks to Phoebe and Amy from Flossy and Leigh and  beautiful bespoke hair accessories from Eleventh Heaven and her happiness just radiated from her like a bright light. Mark was equally happy as Gill walked down the aisle to meet him at their local church. After the ceremony, the happy couple and their guests went to the stunning Belle Epoque in Knutsford where they were treated to amazing food, fine wine, emotional speeches and live music provided by Under the Covers as they celebrated the wonderful occasion.

Renate and Ben’s Eleven Didsbury Park Wedding

Renate and Ben’s wedding was the most relaxed wedding I have ever been to….. EVER! The atmosphere was filled with a fun garden party vibe from the outset and a little bit of rain wasn’t going to spoil that! After a lovely church ceremony, Renate and Ben headed across the road to The Old Cock Inn in Didsbury for champagne all round as the guests chatted and giggled before heading back to Eleven Didsbury Park for speeches in the covered garden and a BBQ. Renate and Ben wanted everything to be as relaxed as possible and abandoned the traditions of formal seating plans in favour of free seating where friends could mix and mingle throughout the evening. The rain poured as quickly as the champagne flowed, but that didn’t dampen anyones spirits and Renate and Ben popped to the stunning Didsbury House Hotel on the way back from the pub for their couple shots which worked fabulously. It was a wonderful day, and we were really sad to leave the party atmosphere.

Jodie and Darren’s e-shoot

Jodie and Darren are just the cutest couple ! They have been together for such a long time, have a gorgeous family, and now they are finally celebrating this in front of all their friends and family at their wedding in a few weeks time. The weather for Jodie and Darren’s e-shoot was terrible, but this did not stop them from laughing and smiling as we took their pictures under our porch to shelter from the downpour! Don’t forget to vote for your favourite image, and Jodie and Darren will receive a print of the most popular one!

Lisa and Steve’s Mere Resort Wedding

We have had a fantastic wedding weekend with not one, but two fabulous days! The first wedding of the weekend can be seen here, and the second one… well lets just say that you’ve come to the right place. Lisa and Steve’s wedding was entirely different, and full of unique touches and fun moments that we will remember forever. We were especially excited for this wedding as Lisa and Steve had booked ‘The Dream Team’ of us and Love Gets Sweeter Wedding Films which is always a good recipe for a wedding day. Lisa and Steve had also decided to hold their wedding at the newly refurbished Mere Resort in Knutsford which was truly wonderful. Lisa and Steve’s day was built around fun, from Lisa’s Dad performing tricks with his chickens and Steve playing Top Gear in his gorgeous convertible to the sweetie bar and photobooth at the reception. Lisa and Steve’s wedding was a truly memorable day filled with laughter and lots of happy tears, and best of all, they have wonderful photos and a stunning wedding film to remember it all by!

Catherine and Steve’s Rowton Castle Wedding

Wow! That is the only word I can use about yesterday’s wedding! For a start, Catherine and Steve’s wedding was held in the fairytale setting of Rowton Castle in Shrewsbury which was a truly breathtaking venue. Secondly, the bride looked absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero dress (with a tiny bit of help from the lovely make-up artist Linda Maule). Thirdly the guys wore kilts…… this always looks great, but more so at a castle wedding! And my personal favourite, the happy couple hired a vintage ice-cream truck to keep their guests entertained in the gardens. This really was a gorgeous wedding… we can’t wait to hear what you all think!
