Friday was a perfect day for a Thornton Manor Wedding. There was sun in the sky and a ripple of excitement in the air as myself and the ever wonderful Charlene from Love Gets Sweeter wedding films joined Sarah and her entourage of bridesmaids and stylists at their cottage in the grounds of Thornton Manor. Sarah’s beautiful hair and make-up ideas were brought to life by Lara and her team from Make-up by Lara who are always a joy to work with. Charlene and I were so excited to see all the fabulous outfits fro the day and we couldn’t help but squeal with delight when Sarah’s mum unveiled Sarah’s stunning made to measure Stewart Parvin gown and the bridesmaids two birds dresses.
Jamie and Scott’s morning started with equal gusto as they joined the boys mid preparation at Thornton Hall Hotel. There were high spirits as the guys prepped for what was going to be the party of a lifetime.
The church ceremony was just beautiful and everyone fought to hold back the tears as Sarah and Derek made their promises to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives.
Sarah and Derek’s guests were waiting for them outside the church to shower them with confetti as they left as man and wife to start the celebrations. Little did Derek know the celebration he was going to have when he arrived at the spectacular Thornton Manor. Sarah had planned a very special surprise which was waiting for her new husband on the drive. Guests excitedly pressed their noses up against the windows to catch a glimpse of Derek seeing his brand new dream convertible waiting for him as he got out of the wedding car. The look on his face was incredible as he realised just what his incredible new wife had arranged for him.
As the guests enjoyed some delicious drinks and canapes, Sarah and Derek snook away for some photos on the beautiful grounds at Thornton Manor. It is always wonderful to photograph such lovely couples, even more so in amazing surroundings.
The guests were treated to some hilarious speeches before their delicious 5 course meal provided by Barretts catering, and Derek even managed to plan a surprise for his lovely wife and guests mid way through the meal. Much to the guests amazement and delight, they were serenaded by the wonderful singing waiters from Encore.
The guests were blown away by the amazing entertainment, and as the drinks flowed they were ready to start partying into the nigh. It’s a good job the bride and groom chose to book The Coolers to keep the dancefloor nice and full. The party was so good that we were sad to leave, but I just know we will see Sarah and Derek soon so we can hear all about the rest of the night!
